The M 18 is a ram electrode for measuring wood moisture. It is based on the resistance measuring principle and can be connected to all corresponding measuring devices. The electrode is suitable for moisture measurements in thick and hard wood (up to 180 mm thickness). It is fixed at the upper end with the flat of the hand and rammed into the material to be measured with the handle by hammering movements.
The electrode body is made of durable and corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the electrode holder of high-strength special plastic. The scope of delivery includes 10 electrode tips, each 40 and 60 mm long. In order to measure the core moisture to the exclusion of any surface moisture that may be present, Teflon-insulated electrode tips of 45 and 60 mm are available separately.
