The Wöhler HF 550 is the first TÜV-certified wood moisture meter for logs and bulk materials.The moisture content of the fuel is often the cause of complaints during limit value monitoring of solid fuel firing systems (the 1st BImSchV stipulates a moisture content of less than 25%). The use of a fuel with a suitable moisture content can significantly reduce pollutant emissions. This is where the Wöhler HF 550 offers ideal support: it measures the moisture content of even wood chips in accordance with standards. The device automatically recognizes whether a probe for moisture measurement is connected to logs or bulk materials. It automatically switches to the appropriate menu and guides you through the measurement with clear instructions. This guarantees that the measurement complies with the specifications of VDI 4206-4. And without much effort.
Ten types of wood, such as oak or birch, are stored in the device with predefined parameters. In addition, the moisture content of wood chips can also be measured in accordance with standards. Combined with the FW 550 moisture scale (Feuchtewaage FW 550), pellets can also be assessed.
