The stainless steel blade with a thickness of 0.1 mm of the crack depth gauge is provided with a laser engraving and thus suitable for measurements according to the "Guideline for an initial assessment of hall supporting structures made of wood" (Leitfaden zu einer ersten Begutachtung von Hallentragwerken aus Holz", PDF- download here (PDF-Download hier)) of the Studiengemeinschaft Holzleimbau e. V. (study group for wood glue construction). With the help of a locking thread, the blade can be fixed to the desired length, the housing serves as a stop. The measuring blade can be safely retracted into the housing for transport, similar to a cutter knife. The crack depth gauge is an in-house development and we produce it completely ourselves in Germany.
