Adhesion testers and accessories
Tensile adhesion testers are used to measure the adhesive strength of coatings, adhesives, plasters or other materials on a substrate. These devices are important in various industries and applications, particularly in the construction industry, in the quality control of coatings and in materials science.
In practice, a defined test element (usually a round metal stamp) is glued to the surface to be tested during a tensile adhesion test. After the adhesive has cured, a tensile force is applied to the stamp with the adhesion tester until the coating or adhesive fails and detaches from the substrate. The force measured is used as a measure of the adhesive strength.
