Gann infrared electrode TF-IR BL, #31013100
The TF-IR BL is a combination electrode with which climate measurements (air humidity and air temperature) and infrared surface temperature measurements can be carried out simultaneously.
This combination of different measuring methods enables the TF-IR BL to quickly and reliably assess dew point undershoots or to detect borderline situations on surfaces such as walls, ceilings, floors and window and balcony door lintels.
The electrode has an acoustic signal for locating critical surface temperatures (see properties).
If used in time, it can be used to prevent the formation of mould or to reliably assess the occurrence of condensation dampness.
Technical data
- With integrated laser pointer for marking measuring spots and adjustable emission factor from 20 - 100
- Automatic calculation of dew point temperature and wood moisture equilibrium (UGL) as well as display of absolute humidity in g/m³
- How does the acoustic signal for locating critical surface temperatures work?
-> The closer the surface temperature comes to the dew point temperature, the more the signal changes from an intermittent tone to a continuous tone -> If the temperature falls below the dew point temperature, there is an acute risk of mould formation, as water from the air can condense in the affected area
- When measuring metallic or reflective surfaces, we recommend using the matt black stickers IR 30/E 95, as otherwise faulty measurements may occur
