Cross-cut template in credit card format (according to DIN EN ISO 2409)
Laser-cut template made of stainless steel for cross-cut testing. Also to be used as a crack depth ruler. The design was developed in-house and the template was then manufactured for us. With the template you can make cross cut tests according to DIN and cross cut tests.
We offer the stencil individually or with a robust cutter knife made of solid metal.
Thickness: 0.5 mm
The grid cut stencil contains the grid distances 1mm, 2mm, 3mm and cross cut (15°). The following pitches are recommended:
For layer thicknesses up to 60 microns, select a grid spacing of 1 millimeter (hard substrates such as metal) or 2 millimeters (for soft substrates such as wood)
For coating thicknesses between 61 and 120 micrometers, the grid spacing is 2 millimeters
From a layer thickness of 121 to 250 micrometers, 3 millimeters are used
Above 250 micrometers, the grid cut is no longer to be used. Here, cross-cutting according to DIN EN ISO 16276-2 can be used.
